Through the SWIFT message service, customers are able to receive instant confirmation of their financial transactions overseas, including the ability to track foreign payments and transfers.

National Bank of Oman’s clients, who in the past may have had some worries as to when their transactions had successfully completed, will find peace of mind through the SWIFT message facility, which is free for all corporate customers.

To activate the SWIFT message service, customers simply provide their email address, account number and receiver name to the Bank. They will then receive an email which contains a password. Once the customer executes a foreign payment, they will receive an email with the SWIFT message containing the details of the transfer. They can then access the message with the password provided.

Sayyid Wasfi bin Jamshid Al Said, Deputy General Manager at the National Bank of Oman said:

“National Bank of Oman is very pleased to provide customers with the SWIFT message service which can provide peace of mind when making transactions to beneficiaries abroad. Overseas transactions are a major growth area for the bank and we have implemented the SWIFT message service to provide customers with a valuable facility at zero cost which is extremely easy to use.”
